Alright so people are mad and bashing my sweet, sexy, egotistical Damon because he so called "yelled" at Elena. Umm...Hello!! He has lost his brother. Despite everything Stefan and Damon have gone through they always ended up with each other, their brother bond has always held true. They were just starting to act like brothers again when Stefan left. Stefan sacrificed his “normal life” to be the r...ipper again for his brother and Damon knows that. It’s eating up inside him and he knows what Ripper!Stefan is like. He knows how far Stefan will go to hurt people, how he kills people, his methods and his ways and he’s got every right to be upset over it.
He loves Elena and he doesn’t want to see her get hurt. If he was out to get her he would have told her straight away, explained how Stefan’s a monster now but he didn’t. Because he cares about her too much and didn’t want to see her get hurt. After he told her you could see that he regretted it, he doesn’t want to hurt her. He would never want to hurt her again. But he did what he had to do to keep her alive.
Now that Stefan’s gone he not only has to keep her alive but he has to protect her feelings too. He has to watch the woman he loves be broken over Stefan leaving and yes, goddamit, he raised his voice at her. He didn’t hurt her. He didn’t yell at her, he just raised his voice because stubborn Elena wouldn’t listen.
I will defend Damon Salvatore until my last day.
